Dosation
|
 |
Water tresatment often requires dosation of liquid or gaseous substances. Examples
for dosation are neutralisation, flocculation or precipitation. Besides the precise
calculation of the quantity of active substances required, optimised mixing is a
key factor of success to the process of treatment.
Typical steps of a treatment process are:
|
|
 |
- Measurement. Parameters for control are measured in order to determine the
required quantity for dosation (measurement of pH-value, turbidity, flow-rate,
heavy metals, cyanides, etc.).
- Adjustment control. An active substance is added commensurate to the
deviation between the actual and nominal value of the control parameter.
- Dosation. Dosation is performed by the use of hose pumps, geared
pumps or valves.
- Mixture. Turbulent flow is prerequisite to achieving optimal mixture and,
at the same time, short response time. Due to the principle of continuity of
SEIBOLD-Messtechnik, we focus on the use of static mixers, that are designed,
constructed and manufactured by SEIBOLD-Messtechnik specifically for this
purpose.
- Result. Verification of the result. In case the result is to be
measured directly, it can be used for further control and continued optimisation
of the process.
