New mobile watercourse protection facility launched!
Requirements on watercourse protection facilities in civil engineering are changing over time and in many cases the place of installation changes, too. Using the new Neutralisation Containers by SEIBOLD-Messtechnik customers now receive a "guarantee for mobility".

You may remember the article on dimensioning of watercourse protection facilities in the last issue of our News Splash, covering the complexity of parameters to have in mind. For flow rates up to 20 l/s and for construction periods of up to two years an integrated container
system is the ideal solution for watercourse protection facilities.

Neutralisation Containers are available for flow rates from five to 140 l/s and for different types of treatment. All systems offer continuous measurement of pH-value and flow rate, but can additionally be equipped with instruments for measurement of conductivity and turbidity, whereas dosation of flocculation is available, too.

The 20 inch standard containers comprise all typical functionality of watercourse protection facilities at minimal space: room for deduction, neutralisation, measurement of flow rate and final inspection are being carried out in the specially designed treatment area of the container. All equipment for measurement and control required for ongoing operation are mounted in a seperated room to be accessed by the personnel.

Oil, primarily of hydraulic systems and resigning from various construction site equipment and can hardly be prevented and therefore is gathered at a scum board and absorbed by a specific oil barrier. This oil barrier is easy and straightforward to be changed and disposed.

Neutralisation with CO2 in the tight containers is performed by the use of static mixers that can, depending on the expected flow rate, be set up cascading. The principle of static mixers
is based on the repeating split and combination of different flows of water inside the static mixer and guarantees for optimised utilisation of CO2, inserted by proportional valves.

In addition the new mobile watercourse protection facilities by SEIBOLD-Messtechnik feature a lot more minor and major details, ranging from lightning buzzers, indicating alarm, to forklift pockets attached to the containers and standard salient angles, allowing to transport the containers secure and easy to operate from one site of installation to the next.
