„Internationally connected - a delegation from China visits SEIBOLD-Messtechnik.”

Last fall we got to welcome a delegation of official representatives
of the Chinese province of Beijing in our
office. The discussions concentrated on the environmental awareness and
the related interest in mature
technological solutions for protection of the environment.

In the course of their business trip of several weeks the delegation visited
a number of selected manufacturers in Europe. Coming from Germany, the members
of the delegation stopped over in Vienna for a day and visited SEIBOLD-Messtechnik.
After an interesting presentation of the city and province of Beijing by Mr.
Wang Xue Jun, Director of the Municipal Department for Industrial Development,
covering information on the Olympic Games 2008, specific products and initiatives,
as well as the strategic focus of

SEIBOLD-Messtechnik were discussed intensively.
The main interest of the members of the delegation was focussed on online
analysers for monitoring of parameters relevant for environmental concerns,
specially the ones for monitoring heavy metals. Deployment of online analysers
is an important mission in China, not only in the many new emerging industrial
centers (please see the subsequent article, too). Further initiatives by
SEIBOLD-Messtechnik in the field of potable water, e.g. measuring manganese
in a range from 0.002 to 1.0 mg/l, were scrutinised by our visitors and
discussed with our specialists.
After a tour through our business premises and an extensive demonstration of
our online analysers we were able to show some of our development projects to
the members of the delegation. Further cooperation and specific projects in
the fields of industrial waste water, potable water and process water have
been sceduled.
