Multi-Parameter-Analysis
|
 |
Focusing on measurement of heavy metals in liquids makes SEIBOLD-Messtechnik
celebrate great
achievements in this new field of business: first results of research and
development in multi-parameter-
analysis have been implemented to our customer´s full satisfaction.

As noticed in previous issues of our SEIBOLD News Splash, heavy metals are
characterised by similar behaviour of reaction. Using new methods and new
equipment, multiple heavy metals can now be measured and analysed in only one
cycle of measurement.
Valuable side effects of these improvements are, among others, that analysers of
this new generation provide significant more information on the sample measured
and thus allow for even more accurate measurement results, compared to previous
possibilities, and measuring errors can be eliminated as far as possible.
|
Examples
for these new opportunities that already are installed at some customers are
measurement of manganese and iron in potable water, or nickel, zinc and copper
in the area of metal processing.
Various reagents are used for measurement of multiple parameters, that have been
developed in our chemical laboratory. An interesting example for this development
is BPADAP. So far copper, iron, zinc and nickel can be analysed using this reagent
in one single analyser. We have adapted the software in order to utilise the
specific characteristics of the chemical reactions and support "curve sketching"
and interpretation of measurement results.
