Industrial waste water
|
 |
The complex matrix of industrial waste waters is one of the biggest challenges
of measurement techniques, in particular with companies producing heavy metals
or using them as means of production. If parameters to be measured additionally
undergo a stable reaction with organic substances, these parameters are invisible
for analysis to a large extent.
SEIBOLD-Messtechnik has wide experience in this field of application and offers

option for adapting methods, reagents, sample preparation. Specific given
requirements of operation can efficiently be met by means of the modular set up of
our analysers. By the use of specific conveying techniques the sample to be
analysed can be conveyed even at minor water levels.
The following list describes typical areas of problems being faced when monitoring
industrial waste water:
Cost for cleanup of waste waters are increasing dramatically. In order to
provide evidence towards operating
companies and local authorities the required
measurements have to be carried out and verified.
Meeting the official requirements will increasingly be supervised by
local authorities. In particular pH-value,
turbidity and certain substances with negative
impact on the environment used in industrial applications
(e.g. solvents, dyer, metals, etc.) are to be reported
to operating institutions in detail.
Due to separation of surface water and waste water, sampling is quite difficult
in drains with low water levels
and sometimes oversized drains.
Installing sensors inside the drain (in situ) was widely used in the past
and complicating performance of
maintenance, e.g. calibration, change or cleaning of
sensors.
For industrial waste water we have developed a successful analyser, providing
solutions to the topics mentioned above as follows:
You can access the sensor system outside the drain and perform maintenance
tasks easily.
Measurement of pH-value, temparature, turbidity and conductivity, as well as
additional measurements
(e.g. Cu, Zn, Ni, Mn, ...) can be installed
into only one measurement cabinet.
Highest reliability of operation is guaranteed by a specific rinsing system
developed by SEIBOLD-Messtechnik
based on using compressed air.
All analysers are equipped for automatic alarm, data logging and transfer
of data to external control
systems.
Measurement of flow-rate by the use of overfall weirs, equipment for dosation of
flocculants and static mixers for mixing various media make up our offer for
monitoring and treatment of industrial waste water.
